Note: Some transmission oil coolers do not need anodes, so please check your service manual
Note: Slight variations between anode requirements for different heat exchangers and exhaust elbows
You will need the following anodes for this engine:
Heat exchanger 4W-9164 configuration
6L2283 x 2
This is the replacement zinc pencil only. Fits on port side at the front
6L2289 x 1
This is the replacement zinc pencil only. Fits on starboard side at the bottom of the bonnet
Heat exchanger 7C-3114 configuration
6L2283 x 3
This is the replacement zinc pencil only. Fit 2 on port side at the front, 1 starboard at the bottom of the bonnet
Marine Transmission Oil Cooler – please check your set up as some do not require anodes
6L2288 x 2
This is the replacement zinc pencil only. One on each side of the unit
