How To Fit An Electro Eliminator

Whether you have a steel or GRP boat, an electro eliminator brush should be fitted to the shaft to provide the best protection to the stern gear. The electro eliminator offers the most effective shaft bonding solution. By running directly onto the propeller shaft, the electro eliminator puts the anode on constant low resistance contact with the propeller shaft.

  • To provide the best protection for the stern gear, the electro-eliminator brush must be earthed to the hull.
  • The copper graphite brushes have a lifespan of at least 2,000 hours under normal conditions. The electro eliminators will also stop interference to electronic equipment caused by the rotating propeller shaft. The MG Duff electro eliminators work by making contact with the boat propeller shaft through brushes. This ensures that an electrical connection is made.

Two models of eliminators are available depending on the propeller shaft diameter.

How To Fit An Electro Eliminator

For 51-203mm diameter shafts (a support bar, not supplied, must be fabricated to suit the installation of the unit).
