Magnesium Propeller Anodes
If you're in fresh water, you'll want to purchase a magnesium propeller anode, (instead of a zinc propeller anode or aluminium propeller anode) as there is a lower open circuit potential. Once installed, the sacrificial magnesium anode will corrode instead of your propeller as magnesium is a more reactive metal than that of your propeller - this is where the term sacrificial anode comes from.
